Estimating Quantum States from Sequential Weak Measurements
Estimating quantum states from time-dependent measurements is important for the manipulation and processing of information in quantum systems. We discuss in detail the limitations of recovering initial states from noisy measurement records. In the case, where the measurement process scrambles the initial state information, we show the emergence of a weak measurement-long time scaling limit. If time permits, we will also discuss estimating the current state from past measurement records, a question important for measurement-based feedback control of quantum systems.
