Recent Developments in Pointwise Convergence Problems in Ergodic Theory.
The aim of this talk is to survey recent developments in pointwise convergence problems in ergodic theory. We will focus on the Furstenberg–Bergelson–Leibman conjecture, a central open problem in ergodic theory and harmonic analysis. We will also discuss motivations and connections to problems in additive combinatorics.
