Response-fluctuation relations for driven systems

We discuss quasistatic response for nonequilibrium systems satisfying local detailed balance.  We give the example of thermal response and an extended Nernst postulate, illustrated as well by a mean-field calculation (Curie-Weiss model with time-periodic magnetic field) where the nonequilibrium heat capacity diverges (critical exponent alpha = 1) at the (shifted) critical temperature.  In a second part we show the canonical structure for macroscopic (dynamical) fluctuations in the bulk driven case.  It is a quite general formulation and in Onsager's (1931) sense,  it directly relates to response relations and variational characterizations.
