Energy-momentum spectrum and effective mass of a strongly coupled polaron
We present a mathematically rigorous analysis of the ground state energy of the Fr”ohlich polaron model in the strong coupling limit, examining in particular the quantum corrections to the (classical) Pekar approximation. We shall explain the implications on the asymptotic behavior of the polaron's effective mass, as well as on the existence and number of stable excited states.
