Liouville theorems for conformally invariant fully nonlinear equations and applications

 

We present new results on optimal Liouville theorems for conformally invariant fully nonlinear equations in Euclidean spaces and half Euclidean spaces.  Key new  ingredients in the proofs of these results are deeper understanding of  behavior of solutions near isolated singularities.  Applications of the Liouville theorems will be given to establish derivative estimates and existence of solutions to fully nonlinear equations arising from conformal geometry.  These are joint works with Baozhi Chu and Zongyuan Li.
