On the lower Critical Dimension in spin glasses
We consider systems in dimensions D in a tube geometry (L^{D-1) times infty). We show that the correlation length in the long direction has a simple L-dependence, which can be computed in mean field theory. We apply these ideas to spin glasses. We will present both large-scale numerical simulations in three dimensions and semi-analytic computations in mean field theory.
